Ladies 1st Team vs Newcastle University 5

The Ladies 1st team continued their success with another win on Saturday, making it 5 wins out of 5 and another clean sheet.

We started strong and were focused and ready for the challenge. Opening up the scoring was Kait with some creative attacking skills and lovely distribution. Kait then secured a 2nd goal shortly after that and continued her dominance by assisting Amelia to score her first goal of the game.

As a team we continued to dominate the 1st half and showed some great skill and strength. However Newcastle didn't sit back and had some lovely attacking play that put our defence under pressure.

Following the half time break Kait provided another assist, which allowed Aislin to slot one over the line making it 4-0. The dynamic duo bounced back a few minutes later with yet another goal from Kait! She was on fire this also secured her hat trick (I think the promised pint may have motivated her !!) making it 5-0 !

We did start to tire towards the last 10 minutes and Newcastle applied more attacking pressure but our strong defence kept them at bay! However with more silky skills from Kait and a few cheeky keepy ups with the ball to get through Newcastle's defence, she laid off the ball to allow Aislin to score her 2nd goal of the game making the final score 6-0

It was great to see Chris back on the pitch following her time out due to injury.

Overall it was a great team effort and a good result.

The ladies 1st team have a short break now from league games but we will be back fighting fit and raring to go in the next few weeks.
