Men's 2nd Team vs Whitley Bay & Tynemouth 3's

M2 hosted another new to us club Whitley Bay & Tynemouth 3rds who turned up away with a squad of 15 players... How can't we do that many players when we are playing at home?

The first half was end-to-end but probably with the balance of play to WB&T with Juz making some excellent saves and smothering the ball when needed... And MOM Mustafa making some absolutely awesome tackles... A disallowed WB&T open play goal letting us off before Gary secured a penalty corner that Marc expertly dispatch to the top left corner... That he'd failed to do in practice

The second half was much of the same with WB&T equalising with a well taken penalty corner glancing off Brian on the post to beat Juz... And then it got surreal as a crash ball into the D saw the amazed WB&T center forward score probably the best goal any of us will see this season from 2 feet off the back-line screaming past Juz between him and the near post... But we came back and a fantastic piece of play saw Gary hit the keeper and Carl sweep up the open ball to take us to 2-2...Keith then under pressure earned himself a well deserved DOD with an exquisite pass to their center forward on our penalty spot to put us 3-2 down.. a further penalty corner for WB&T saw Keith make another touch on the struck ball to make sure it got past Juz
